Theoretical Approach & Philosophies of Counseling:

I believe healing and growth starts with human connection. I recognize the immense courage and vulnerability it takes to open up to another person about the pain and struggle you’re experiencing. This is why it is important to me to take the time to create a safe, comfortable therapeutic relationship where you can show up as your most authentic self. Working together to better understand your values and goals is an important part of the counseling process as we work to create change that is meaningful to you. I utilize a systemic perspective to bring the contexts we live under into session. I draw from ACT and DBT modalities primarily, but am fluid in my approach in order to fit the needs of each client.

Specialty Areas & Client Focus

  • Anxiety and Depression

  • Trauma

  • Identity Exploration

  • LGBTQ+ Affirming

  • Neurodiversity (ADHD/ASD)

  • ACT (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy)

  • DBT (Dialectical Behavioral Therapy)

About Me:

Outside of the counseling office you can catch me at a coffee shop with my fiancée, trying a new latte and little treat combo! I also love crafting in my spare time, such as knitting, crocheting, and scrapbooking. I am always up for an enthusiastic conversation about mythology, folklore, and our human drive to share stories. Reading is my favorite way to immerse myself in new perspectives, and I’m a big fan of historical fantasy fiction. I consider attempting to understand the many unique ways humans connect and share joy as one of life’s most interesting adventures.
